Christmas Part 2

We got to Idaho with enough time to finish a few last minute gift ideas.  One was this adorable felt playhouse for my nephew Hunter.  I totally got the idea online and just copied it, but I think it turned out adorable.   I hope he has been enjoying it too!

 Oh, this picture make me salivate!  Christmas eve dinner was so yummy! My mother is an amazing cook!

And after it was all said and done, we spent a few more days in Idaho.  Carter enjoyed playing the Wii for a few more days and we were able to throw a baby shower for Breann & Jade.

Christmas Part 1

I figured since I have so many pictures from Christmas in Idaho that I had better split this between 2 posts, maybe even more.  :o)  We ventured Wyoming again; this time Greg graciously drove the entire way while I busied myself with something to keep my mind off of the road conditions.  I was still uneasy with the wreck being so recent and all.  Anyway, the weather wasn't too bad on the way there.

We were able to spend almost 2 weeks in Idaho with family.  5 of our family's 6 children moved within a month time period so we wanted to relish this time we all had while we lived close.  My brother Jason & wife Krishele moved to Pennsylvania, we had moved to Colorado, Philip & Breann moved across town (closer to the grandparents) :o) , and Greg & Cavin were moving off to college a few hours away.  Whoa.  It is crazy to think of all the changes that happen when kids grow up and to think only 12 short years ago we were all still living at home, kids ourselves.  It has made me enjoy this time I have with my own little ones just a little more each day.

Now Breanna rules the nest and has the house to herself (which she says she truly misses the noise we all created when we were all there).  :o) 

I sent my kids off with my camera to see what their perspective was during the holiday season.  This is what I later found.

The kids were so excited to play in the snow and boy did we have snow!  Christmas morning we were completely snowed in and it was okay.  We were all there and had plenty of food; we spent the time enjoying one anothers company.

We celebrated Cody's birthday again, he sure loves food. :o)

 And made some yummy sugar cookies.

 Then made some gingerbread houses

 Mom is the best cook and made so many yummy desserts and meals.  I think she is making her super delicious fudge here.

 Emma especially had fun decorating cookies and gingerbread houses.

 And Grandma read plenty of Christmas bedtime stories; the kids loved it.

There was plenty of football time too.

 And I just LOVE my moms tree.  It is huge, decorated beautifully and completely full underneath with presents (seeing as there will be 18 of us here Christmas morning)  :o)

 Every time I see this picture I just relax and look forward to Christmas even more.
