It's A BOY!

It has taken us a while to get this post on here, but our ultrasound went great and the baby looks really good! We almost had to leave without knowing what the gender was, but finally the little gummy bear decided to turn and let us all know he is a boy! YAY! We are really excited and would have been thrilled if it was a boy or a girl, but now our little Cody Ray is on the way! Yes, we like the name Cody Ray and he will probably be named that. When we told Emma it was a boy she just replied with a "I know." :o) Children do have a knowledge we don't. She and Carter are quite excited for a baby and can't get enough of babies when they see them. They love to hold them and rub babies heads of hair. It is pretty cute.

The picture attached here is of how I found Carter after getting off the phone the other day. He had climbed on the counter and got into the box of apricots and carried some to his high chair, then proceeded to 'decorate' himself with them, using them mostly as shampoo. He had a fun time! Oh the innocence!

Time is flying and we are getting into the harvest season here at home. Greg and I enjoyed a weekend off Friday and Saturday for our 6 year anniversary! Wow, we are getting old. We finally decided that we are old because we thought the bed and pillows in the hotel were SOOO uncomfortable and decided to never leave home overnight without our pillows again! We had a fun time together at the temple, out to dinner (Olive Garden, Tara's fav.), swimming, shopping, going to the State Fair, and ending it all off with bull riding Saturday night. WOW, we were busy, but had a fun time. Here's a shout-out to Tara's family for watching the kids! Mom, Dad, Breanna, Cavin, Breann & Phil: Thanks a ton! You guys are the best! Also, it was my sis-in-law Breann's b-day and my nephew Andrew's b-day this week. Happy Birthday! Off to more adventures...

My Sad Girl

So, Emma decided to take a spill today. We were over at my parents house and she was watching Sleeping Beauty and decided to sit on the edge of the couch and when the evil witch came on the screen, we think it scared her because the next thing she was lying on her back screaming. She had hit her head on the not-so-soft safe that was next to the couch. I didn't realize it was that bad until as I was holding her, realized I (and her) were covered in blood. yuck! SO, after finding the cut amidst all the gunky stuff and hair it was only a 1/2 inch and not too deep. The Dr. said it should be ok if the bleeding stopped. It did and she is all happy again, so now we have our happy girl again, just with a little cut on the back of her head that now matches her dad's scar. :o) (Greg fell off a ladder 5 or 6 years ago and had stitches) They'll be twinners. :o) so, I'm sure some of you have heard what we're having (boy or girl), but I've got to get the pictures on here before I post it, hopefully later tonight....We are sure glad Emma is okay though. She is our little tough girl!

My Happy Girl

So Emma wanted me to take her picture in her room a while ago after we were done painting it. She had so much fun helping me paint it that now she wishes she could paint EVERYWHERE! We have done a TON of painting since we moved in a year or so ago, but it will all eventually get done someday. Her room is a winnie the pooh themed room with pink, blue and yellow colors. She loves to jump on her bed and be a big girl in a room of her own. (which may not be for long, depending on tomorrows findings from the dr. of what gender of baby sister or brother she will be getting). She is sure that we are having a boy and his name is Cody. Children do have a second nature to them. We love our kids and I'll have to get some more recent ones up here and let you all know the big news from tomorrow!

Finally, the picture of our kittens...
