Post Christmas Activities

After Christmas we still had a few days of fun left.  We took the kids to see the new Chipmunk movie.
 They loved it.
Then we spent some time at the Children's Museum...one of our favorite places to go.
Painting is so much fun...plus I love it too because the mess stays here :)
 Dancing

 Shopping time.

 Sleep Time
I love the wooden miniature furniture they have in this playhouse!

Emma is the Big kid helper in this room....I didn't notice the wedgie pick until later...haha.
This is a new exhibit and the kids loved it.  It is all about space and air.  You build a rocket, build the air pressure, then launch them to see how far they go.
 Searching for their rockets.
found it!

Cousin Gift Exchange

We always draw names for cousins at Christmas time.  It is a fun tradition and the kids look forward to finding the perfect gift for whomever they draw.  This year we saved all the gifts until we were all together later on Christmas day to open them together.
Waiting for everyone to get their present.
 Digging for buried treasure.
The kids loved their presents.  Carter found my ear warmer and has decided for the past couple of days that he wants to wear it all the time.

Christmas Eve

We are very fortunate to live close to family. It is wonderful for the holidays because we always have loved ones to spend time with. Cody began by helping peel the potatoes...
We made some super fun red & green drinks for dinner also.
 Cody getting ready to eat.
Gwen
 Ashley & Emma
 Carter
Listening to Papa & Grandma tell a Christmas story.
The kids singing jingle bells while Emma plays it on the piano.
Emma & Daddy do a duet.
Megan & Greg sang a duet.
Then it was time for the flour game!  I think this is hilarious that this too was something my family has played also.  Although we use a mug instead of a loaf pan of flour....this way makes for a much bigger mess and a harder to reach coin if you have to dive for it. :)
 Ryan got it!
 The kids ready to start.
 Each taking their turn...
Megan's turn to rescue the coin.
 Singing a few carols.
Then we headed home to do a few traditions of our own.  We read some Christmas stories.
Tried to get a picture (Cody wanted nothing to do with the camera by this time of night)
 The kids opened new pajamas!
And then they were out...waiting for Santa to arrive...
