There were so many sculptures here, we'll have to go back on a day that isn't so hot.
Then it was on to setup camp. The men folk were meeting up with us later, so we got camp all setup and then headed to the swim beach.
Cody is a natural explorer and was thrilled to be at a new place to find new things.
Carter on the other hand, likes schedules and likes things to stay the way they are. He was more comfortable hanging out in the tent on the beds.
Once camp was setup, we started some nature crafts for the kids summer scrapbooks. They had a fun time finding things from nature to glue on their pages.
After dinner we had FHE and then a fun snack...popcorn! I must say this is the coolest popcorn ever. It was pretty fun to watch it puff up, I think I was more entertained than the kids were! :o) haha!
Like father like son. I can't believe how much these two look alike. Their faces crack me up too. Marshmellows anyone??

Our early riser woke up around 5AM. Yup, mom and Cody drove around the beautiful lake so not to wake everyone else...
We had a good time watching the sun rise and feeding some seagulls.
Everyone else slept all through the night. We'll chalk this experience up for about an A- (the minus for having to get up so early while on a mini-vacation) but in all we had a great time and we'll actually probably do it again.

very pretty pictures! You girls set up the camp? Way to go super women! It looks like a great place...the grass is nice so you're not getting covered in fine, puffy dirt (like I did this past week at girl's camp). I love the sculptures...the one with the kids in a circle was adorable.
