Kindergarten

The time has finally arrived...Emma is ready for Kindergarten!  Actually, she has been 'ready' for quite some time now, but it is now finally time for school to be 'ready' for her to come.  :o)  Emma was a little disappointed at the beginning of the summer when she didn't get into the school we were hoping she would, but when she visited the 'new' school she would be going to, she was back to being thrilled about going to school.  Then, last Friday, we got a phone call saying there was a spot for her at the semi-private school we had wanted to get her into!  We couldn't have been more thrilled!  It is wonderful news!  One reserve Greg and I have had about moving to a large city was the school systems and now that she is in this amazing school, we still are somewhat worried for our Emma girl, but not as much now that she is in this school.  Their statistics are amazing and Emma is thrilled because she actually knows a few of the kids going to school here and also because her cousin goes here too.  It will be a new experience for us all, but we know she is ready and SO super excited!  This is Emma before heading to back to school night last night.

Cody wanted to join in the fun and began getting ready while Emma was getting ready for school too...he loves to swipe Greg's things and tries to copy everything Daddy does...like shaving, wearing his hats, putting on deodorant, etc...

And here is the big girl all ready for school today.  Before she left she informed me that she was ready for all the adventures they were going to have in their Kindergarten class.  :o) 

Good luck in school Emma!  We know you will be busy having adventures all year long. The boys even made her cookies while she was at school as a welcome treat for her when she got home.  She had so much fun telling us everything that was going to happen all year and made sure we knew that homework would start tomorrow, so we had better be ready.  :o)
