Winterfest

We have never been to Winterfest before, but since we are in a new city and very close to where the festivities were being held, we headed to the celebration.  It was so fun!  The kids and I enjoyed almost every minute of it.  There was a lot to do and we came on a day where it wasn't completely freezing outside.
The kids loved the falling snow in the globe.
Not everyone loved meeting with Santa.  Emma was so excited to tell him what she wanted...the boys however didn't like it much one bit.  Mom had to join in on the picture just to get the boys to even come close to him.  :)  Maybe next year...
They had lots of miniature houses to look at in Santa's village.
 The ice sculptures were amazing!
Ellie joining in on the fun!
Then we decided to try our hand at ice skating.  Cody was having a hard time.
The kids spent a lot of time on the ice...literally!
Emma got the hang of it...
Cody was very frustrated.  Even when I tried to help him, he wanted to do it all by himself.
So he gave Carter a turn.
Carter was very determined as well.
Cody was seriously mad he couldn't figure it out.  :)  Plus he was quite tired.
Carter got the hang of it!
Can you see Cody?  He is laying down and kept telling people to be quiet so he could sleep.  haha, it didn't work too well.
 Carter loved it!
Cody's look says it all...it was time to go.  :)  Nap time...I'm pretty sure he was fast asleep before we left the parking lot.
It was so much fun and we can't wait until next year!  Hopefully we can plan a day for Daddy to join us.
